Not only a great place for experienced people to work, but also a welcoming and encouraging place for young people.

Their story……
Yesterday we welcomed staff and pupils from CONNAUGHT SCHOOL FOR GIRLS for an introduction to Bakers and the world of print and packaging.
The visit was part of an initiative by Careers Hub East and was originally instigated from an introduction via Young People In Print & Packaging (YPIPP).
After an introduction to Baker Labels, BakPac and Baker Materials the pupils were given a full factory tour to explore the full print and production processes. They were given a short quiz to test their knowledge after (very impressive understanding), before grilling two of our team on their work life at Bakers.

Clare Coles, who organised the event, said "The students were a credit to the school: engaged, well-behaved, and keen to learn. It was fantastic to introduce them to the world of print and give them a behind-the-scenes look at how everything comes together.Great to be part of this initiative with Careers Hub East London, helping to inspire the next generation and showcase the opportunities within our industry. Thank you to my colleagues Nikki Southgate, Gemma Poxon, Kirsty Dailly and Tom Baker for all their help in making the visit a successful one!"#CareersEducation #PrintIndustry #FutureTalent #SkillsForLife #CareersinPrint #PrintLife
