Since we started this initiative in March, we have managed to secure a number of locations where companies are willing to ‘open their doors’ to visits from schools, colleges and young people, who might want to consider our industry for future employment. (See map below).
A lot of this work has been in conjunction with the Careers Hub, who can provide support directly to you.

There are also links to volunteer in different roles, including what is called give an hour, which as the name suggests is a lower level ask of as little as an hour to volunteer to support a school and teacher encounters. This is where teachers visit an employer and leave with a better understanding of the sector so they can reflect that in their lessons, to bring the subject to life. Teacher Encounter
The Enterprise Adviser Network is a community of business volunteers who work with schools in all areas and may give you closer access to your local educators.

If you are looking to create a trainee or Apprentice type role, then please visit www.ypip.co.uk and look for the ‘recruiters’ button. This will take you to a job board, where once you have registered, you will be able to advertise trainee roles for FREE.
